How Can I Prevent the Modeling Clay from Sticking to the Rolling Pin?

Our rolling pins are intentionally left uncoated to ensure your child can explore their creativity with completely non-toxic, safe toys. To prevent the clay from sticking to the pin, here are a few tried-and-true tips: Cooking Oil : Rub a small amount of olive oil onto the rolling pin. This creates a smooth surface and prevents the clay from sticking. Flour : Just like when baking, lightly dust the rolling pin with flour. This also helps keep the clay from sticking. Plastic Wrap : Place a sheet of plastic wrap over the clay before rolling. While this isn’t the most eco-friendly option, it works very well. Please make sure your child does not put the plastic wrap in their mouth. Choking hazard.
